Aimpoint pro vs eotech

My problem with both is light, I'm talking about day/night and the transition between.

You set your optic up for the light when you get in settled in, the sun starts up or down, you have to adjust the optic to prevent the dot from fading away or becoming too bright.
The RXO6 and RMR (both under $600.00) do not have this problem. You pick up the rifle and shoot no matter how light or dark it is around you and you'll never worry about a battery, at least for 12 or so years.

I guess I'll be the guy.

I don't like either of them, but then again I don't like anything that requires a battery. I stick with Trijicon for everything, ACOG (not in the price range you listed), RMR or RXO6 (in the price range). No on/off button and always ready when you are.
I'm with ya. I loved my trijicon reflex.

I have had both and Much prefer the Aimpoint PRO over the Eotec..the reticle on the Eotec is always fuzzy and frankly, I just dont like the reticle.

Aimpoint has a less cluttered reticle, longer battery life, and has proven to be very durable and holds zero well...YMMV but I am sticking to the Aimpoint.

EOTech.

The 65 MOA circle is great for close quarters and the 1 MOA dot is great for distance. Put a magnifier behind it and the reticle becomes very clear. The larger circle also makes acquiring the dot quicker.

Thanks guys a lot of great responses here. I have to say I am kind of leaning toward the aimpoint now. Hope it is as rugged and reliable as everyone says it is. I will mostly just be doing a little can shooting and probably crack a few hogs with my AR.

This is exactly why I prefer the reticle on the EoTech better.

there is no comparison except when you look through it there is, in fact, a dot.

For a fraction of the price the sparc has similar size and weight. A 2moa dot. Night vision mode. Water resistant. And its durable. There is a torture test for it on YouTube you can't beat it for the price.
But like I said its no aimpoint.
