AK-47 worth anything since 7.62x39 will no longer be readily available?

I dont understand people whining about the 7.62x39 ammo, look if Russia is the problem there's other countries that produce this ammo and still could be imported to USA, people are just freaking out again, if thiw countries see an opportunity as well they will buy ammo from Russia and they the suppliers here in USA could make business with those guys. There's many ways

Sure, that will happen.

I did an Ammoseek.com search on 7.62X39 and there are pages and pages and pages of suppliers and sellers offering it. Russian Steelcase, Yugo surplus, new NORMA brassed, etc....

Glad I stocked up.

Have about 2,580 rounds so if I shot a 30 round mag a week it would take 86 weeks to burn through.

If I cut that back to one mag a month.... 7 years and hopefully a new President!!!!!

Started reloading 7.62x39 so maybe longer.

I mean heck did people throw away their AR'S when the pandemic was crazy? No.

Why would an ammo company risk anything with the more than 100% ammo market they have right now? With banks not wanting to loan to any firearms related industry right now, investment in anything firearm related is very expensive right now.

And the reason folks did not dump their ARs during the panic is because it was not just the ARs that were affected, it was industry wide.

This is just bottom feeder, comblock weapons that are affected. Like I said, some will hang onto their old clubs, but others will gravitate toward something where ammo is available.

Prices on 5.56 are coming down....russian ammo will never come back to the United States. If you think it will ask China if they are able to sell weapons here. They havent been able to for over 20 years. Once ammo/firearms are restricted that restriction will never be lifted. Bush Obama Trump and Biden never lifted the restriction.
You're right, it is most definitely coming down. But Tula and other Russian companies also produce this (5.56/.223) round. So what I'm getting at is 7.62x39 is not going anywhere. It can still be manufactured in Russia, shuffled around and end up in the US....OR there will be plenty of manufacturers elsewhere ready to pick up the slack. This doesn't devalue the rifles/pistols in this round at all. All this does is sensationalize what's happening and now we have people hoarding the available ammo again, causing a perceived shortage which in turn will drastically raise the price.

We have seen this many....so many times and we never learn. It will go up artificially, and then come back down just like ammo from last year, just like ammo after Sandy Hook, etc. etc.

It that situation, the countries buying from Russia are the middle man. You’re still looking at a major price increase even if stock levels go back up. 5-600 will probably be the norm from here on out. And that’s being conservative.

They will find the way they always do

The people will buy it anyway. Like the 5.56 and 9mm ast year. Same situation, they will find the way. It will take a little bit but eventually everything will come back to normal
