AK BHO MAGS and followers

I have seen the Yugoslavian mags listed as BHO, is there any advantage to a bolt hold open (other than the obvious) disadvantage to using?
Would it not be just as simple to install a BHO followerin an existing mag?
I don't have 1/4 comparison so if you have a profile difference you are definitely educating me.

No real difference. The bolt will lock back, but will then slam forward when you pull the mag. The Yugoslavs are built like tanks.

I dont care for them at all. They are pointless. You know when you are out when you hear a click and not a bang.
