Almost had a real bad day yesterday

This is my second close call in the last month. I was bucking logs less than 2 feet away. Have no idea why they didnt attack. My two boys 4 and 6 were with me. Threw the 4 year old over my shoulder and took off for the house. The other nest last month was 50 ft away. I always keep an eye out but these snuck up on me!

Can of wasp spray….you can jet stream that hole from a few feet away and none will get ya. Get a new can of it and empty the whole thing into the hole !!

Theyre getting some permethrin. I’ll post pics of the nest. Bet its a big’un based on the size of the entry hole. Looks like they’ve been there a while…

They seem extra active this year. Or maybe its just me.

They're more active and aggressive this time of year. They're getting their stores of food and water for the winter. Mark the nest during daylight and return after dark, they will all be in the nest. A cup of gasoline down the hole, no more yellow jackets.

I've killed hundreds this year.
