Driving like biglew (45mph in right lane with blinker on), yeah, not life threatening. Driving like most folks on I-285 then definately life threatening.
I was watching the news today when this story came on and the lexus driver shot through his own windshield with the first shot and the angle of the bullet holes in the truck indicate that the truck was in front of the lexus when the shots were fired. I'll be keeping up with this one to see what comes out of it too.
Wow, I'm glad I wasn't in that mess. I would hate to shoot both of them just cause I got caught in the cross fire!

People can do some really crazy things when they "lose it". I've been there when someone with a tire iron customized my car's hood while I had him covered with my .38, which he was going to shove up my posterior (said he was going to) .... Until I cocked it and explained that he was about to die on the next step ... then he proceeded to customize my car's hood a little more before driving off. The LEO showed up 20 minutes later.
The LEO told me that something like that happens to them all of the time: a PO'ed individual going nuts and (unarmed) actually attacking a LEO while being covered with a loaded and cocked weapon.
He further stated that I would have been in the right to shoot the guy, but I was lucky that I didn't have to as I would have spent the next year or so defending myself in court and further years living with the fact that I had killed someone ... even if it were justified.
So, if you carry a weapon (and I still do):
1) Know how to use it
2) Be absolutely certain that you will use it if circumstances require it (otherwise be prepared to have it used on you!)
3) Know when to draw the line (it's him or me ... for sure) and don't hesitate to pull the trigger.
BTW: The Police caught up with the guy and based upon his resistance when apprehended, arrested him. Upon the advice of counsel, I declined to press charges as the guy would then know where I lived and would have a reason to find me. The guy still served a little time based upon his attitude when arrested.
Never saw or heard from him again, but was lucky that the realities of carrying a weapon were firmly established in my being, without serious consequences.

being rammed by a car is considered assault with a deadly weapon. i'm not sure if i would retaliated with shooting through my window, but i know my driving skills would be a more suitable countermeasure. road rage is a mystery to me.

I was working in that area today, heard it on the radio, I remember thinking to myself " Thank god I own a gun!". I kind of laughed when I heard " They found lots of casings on the ground, no one was shot" lol you gotta hold it vertical not sideways gangsta!
