Same here. Fit like a glove, back then. I can fix the HP, put a 383 or 434 in it......Last Corvette I liked was a 1980 Had no horsepower but looked good to me

This ain't nothin new. Been lookin at concept cars all my lifeSoooo. Now we are getting excited by sketches?
I do like the C3, but C2 also. Wouldn't mind a 63, split window with a 427 upgrade.....It is on my bucket list......Last real Corvettes were the '63-'67 coupes....
Sounds like a very cool auntWhen I was a kid, my aunt had a white 1981 Corvette Stingray with the removable glass top and all red interior.
I remember feeling like I was the **** when she would pick me up at school 🤣
I don’t know much about them but she ended up getting a few over the years.
I get it kinda, but I’ve never seen a factory concept drawing that closely matched the final product. This ain't nothin new. Been lookin at concept cars all my life
Still have one that haunts my dreams...I do like the C3, but C2 also. Wouldn't mind a 63, split window with a 427 upgrade.....It is on my bucket list......
I remember the story. All I could afford as a kid was econoboxesStill have one that haunts my dreams...
Fall of '68, car shopping, Baker Motors used lot.
Burgundy '66 coupe, black interior.
427/4 speed, factory knock-off wheels, red stripe tires, factory side pipes, teak steering wheel. $3500....
Such a beauty.
I passed on it, ended up driving out of Central Chevrolet in a new '69 Nova SS 396/350 4-speed.(Insurance company said they wouldn't touch me if I went with the 375 horse option) $3000.
78 or 79 are my favorites, C3. Of course I'd have to beef it up to @ 525hpThe problem with the Corvette is that in the hunt to become a "super car killer" or whatever their goal is, they've become completely unaffordable and unrecognizable to the average muscle car enthusiast. Give me a C5 or C6 with a M6 any day over one of these C8s or what looks to be the C9 prototype.
You are right......I get it kinda, but I’ve never seen a factory concept drawing that closely matched the final product.
Sketches don’t have cost concerns, parts availability, or production restrictions. Much less even reality, in mind.
