AMEX platinum

Looks like platinum is not for me.
I'll be keeping my cash blue. AMEX been good to me.

$450 annual fee. Ain't cheap.

In terms of rewards, I like the capital one cards. Flat rate of 1.5% (used to be 2%) on every penny that goes through the card. No categories, formulas, and no annual fees. I use mine for any and everything but my mortgage and the points add up fast.

Nope. I am amazed that AMEX is still in business. I think corporate, airlines/branded cards, and a few old people are the only thing keeping them going.

I use Amex for business. Last year I went to Spain and this year Costa Rica on the miles. I pay all my supplier accounts with it and pay it off weekly.

AMEX keep offering me one.
Fees are much higher per year, but they are giving more perks.

ANyone had or got one?

You must have a GOLD CARD, I have been with Amex for 30yrs. I have the Gold Card, but the Fee' s, with the Platinum card is to high!

Friend of mine had a black one for a few years. Now, he has spent his inheritance and selling cars in Houston. He was, and still is fun to hang out with, but those were the days.

$7,500 initiation fee, the card comes with a $2,500 annual fee per card.
