First off Merry Christmas to everyone.
I know we all come from different backgrounds, our ages vary greatly from as young as 14 to higher than I dare mention..lol...some of us are gearing up for Christmas with our kids, some for their grand kids, some of us may be spending our first Christmas with our new wife, or possibly miss right.
And yet some of us are getting ready to go to sleep in an empty house, no lights no scampering of kids feet just silence and loneliness. No family close enough to visit, some may have no family left, no close enough friends to call up. Some may have kids, yet their tree is bare and they are wondering how to explain to their kids that santa missed their house and would have to come next week when daddy gets paid. Some of us may have just lost someone we were close to, I know I have I just burried the person I was closest to and loved the most ever in my life last Tuesday. It was time but still doesn't make it any easier, especially at the holidays, her favorite one....
For all of us, wether you are in the best possible situation you could dream of, or the worst one you never could have dreamed would come, just know we are all together. We all talk to each other more than most of us do our " real life" friends....
We are a family here, we are together even though we're not. And just like a family there are some people here we may get along with better than others.
This to me is why the Odt is so much more than just a URL address, so much more than just a forum, we are a family.
So merry Christmas to everyone!
