My only option to carry at work is an ankle set-up, period.
a good LE friend carries a Glock 42 in a Galco cop ankle band which is what I want to use. I'd prefer a 9mm over a 380. Tried my wife's LC9s in a Blackhawk ankle holster and to was too much in the way of bulk. Carry position will be right draw on the inside of my left leg. I wear mid height boots so the location of the rig will be slightly higher than if it were regular shoes if that makes any difference. My preference would be a single stack 9mm. The smallest, thinnest I can find is a PF-9. I've compared the PF-9, Glock 43, LC9S and the S&W Shield on paper. As far as the overall footprint of the weapon, the PF-9 has an edge. I could drop down to a 380 and in that caliber, I really like the LCP II. Is a 9mm really that superior to the 380? Im aware ammo choice is the most important relating to effectiveness. Love me some Gold Dots. What are your suggestions? Real world feedback would be great also. Thanks in avdance
