Ankle Carry Advice Please

So the Uber driver is armed. In this situation the driver had time to retrieve a weapon.

Ooh, gotsts have it close by an ready for ‘just in case’. Gotsta Practice my quick draw.

Quit fantasizing.

There is a point in law called the reasonable man test. “Are these the actions of a normal, sane, and reasonably rational person, in a same or similar circumstances”.

If you can tel me that this shirt happens every F***ing day and you better be ready. I’d say you’r certifiable.
He didn't search around for a firearm, if you watch the video, the guy cut him off, jumped out of the truck yelling threats and the Uber driver (recent POST graduate) drew and dropped him with one shot.

It doesn't have to happen every day, it only has to happen one time.

Just ordered a DB9 . I know the reviews are mixed with the first generation being a toss up in terms of reliability. Looks like they've worked out the bugs with the second generation. I'll break it in with a couple hundred rounds, obviously evaluate function with what I intend use for everyday use. I'll find what it digests reliably. Size matters and I really want a 9mm. The DB9 is smaller than the LC9S which I tried in a Blackhawk size 12 ankle rig .it was too bulky for me. Gonna try a Galco Cop ankle band. I'm currently wearing a mid height boots. Gone are the days of 24 hour shifts where a full size zippered boot was needed. I currently work 12 hour shifts and sit in a vehicle the majority of the time. I currently carry P3AT in a Velcro ankle rig resting on top of my boot. When I'm in what I consider a sketchy environment, I often slip the pistol in my front pocket when I'm out of the truck . The ankle set-up really is the best option for me . IWB really won't work for me. Shirt has to be tucked in, I have a bit of a gut and when I'm active at work, there's a lot of bending, lifting, crawling into cars and such . I really appreciate the input, you guys are awesome. I'll fill you in on how this setup works for me

I was going to say that if you are an Uber driver that caters to the crackhead/mental issue crowd maybe you should worry about the quick draw issues, and suggest you might mount a rifle/pistol holder for quicker access.

Then I thought about that. What kind of idiot does that? Let’s review the reasonable man test...

What kind of mentality defective idiot Uber driver would cater to the crackhead/mental issues crowd?

If you are sitting in a car and NEED to have a firearm, you probably NEED a shotgun or a rifle. For those who are so concerned about fast draw and access. How many times have you actually HAD to draw your weapon to defend yourself or shoot someone in the course of your occupation?

I contend that unless you are actively employed as a LEO all this is virtually irrelevant. I played cop for many years and most of these concerns are pure fantasy.

99+% of the time you are never actually going to use it. What is important is that you have it in the odd instance that the balloon goes up and the big one comes down.

So if it doesn't happen to YOU every day, then it doesn't ever happen? I'm confused - you're ridiculing in one instance that we dont need guns on our person because we wont need it every day in our occupation and therefore its not reasonable/rational to worry about. But then you think we should have it "in the odd instance the balloon goes up" - well thats never happened to me?

Real world experience for me with db9...it's a horrible piece of junk pistol. I have had 3 of them. From first gen to the latest
"greatest" model and all of them were very poor reliability. stove pipes, jams, triggers breaking, pins walking out, etc. Not a pistol i would carry and depend on. You may possibly get lucky and get one that works more than it fails. To much of a gamble though with all the other reliable small pistols available. Best of luck.

Newest design db9 still flawed

All he did was pickup a rider from a bar...how does that equate to catering to the crackhead/mental issues crowd?
