Here's my admission to the topic. My .300 blk SBR. I have a couple other AR's rifles, however this one is my favorite. After making several changes to it over a short time now it's in it's final state. It's runs GREAT to say the least (both on paper and in tactical conditions). Sorry for the Tupperware in the photo, as this I know was dedicated to AR's.

Started out as a $1050 Ar and has since had $1800 additional in upgrades... She's a shooter and not to bad on the eyes either if I may say so.

Here's the easy half of my first build. Only new parts were the TN Arms lower and the Magpul fixed stock. Just about all the rest of the bits and pieces have come from here from guys that made me good deals or just gave me their extra parts.

Looks like the takedown pin has a flathead screwdriver slot.. did the SP1s have threaded pins or something?

It's a double flathead type takedown pin (its on both sides) i guess so it doesn't back out or just over built for the time period?

Definitely not an expert.
