Had a ujoint go south one time. All the needle bearings were gone but the joint & cups remaned.

I took a beer can ,cut a long sliver ,rolled it up in the cap , put it back to get her an drove home

Custom work for sure. Although you must have freakishly long arms to get proper eye relief
