Location
Alabama, across the border...
Mega Arms matched set billet upper and ambi lower, with Mega Arms Wedge-Lock handguard, Faxon 14.5 pinned/welded (thanks to @FatAlbert) with 0.625 Superlative Arms adjustable gas block, mid-length gas, LaRue MBT, Spikes buffer system (tube, spring, T2 buffer) and lower parts kit, MFT Minimalist stock, dual illuminated Trijicon TA31RCO-M150CP ACOG (4x32 ARMY) w/top mounted RM05 RMR, and Troy 45° offset battlesights.

With rotation to see the offset battlesights with my dominant right eye, my left eye can also easily pick up the RMR dot... kinda cool.

It might not be what Burdy Burdy would throw together, but I think it sure is purdy!

Just need some range time to see what needs adjustin’!

Heh, what are you talking about...that looks better than anything I've put together. That's awesome. I have the same wedge-lock handguard and I really like it. And the only thing I wish I had done on my latest build was go mid-length so I am jealous there for sure. Sweet build dude.

What color stain did you use on your deck railing?

Hayata Hayata ... you serous or just funnin' me?

Yep, seems a little light but is darker in person. I listened to the ODT in a much earlier post when @crippen was recommending stains. I used a TWP 200 series (202 Redwood) and I really like it. The deck railing and posts are all rough cut cedar, with hardware from DecksDirect, and stainless screws. I am doing some heavy excavation and concrete work at my lakehouse (cedar and stone exterior), which will be followed by a complete makeover of my 1500+ sq. ft. upper porch and deck. I bought this particular color for testing/experimenting on our current "flip" house because the boss (my wife) wants to try a reddish color with gray stained deck boards on our lakehouse makeover, and even possibly trim the house with it too.

I think it is a little light, so we are currently leaning toward a darker TWP color (like 201 Cedartone). Stain was ordered from sealandprotect.com and I highly recommend them, with super fast shipping and great packaging. Free shipping from their Atlanta location too, so I didn't have to drive to them.

Not funnin' at all! Thanks for the explanation! I really dig the color and my wife is like no way! She likes the 201 as well.

Yeah, that @crippen fella knows his stuff.

Yep, me too, but not until these temps drop a little. For us "air-conditioned" spoiled office folks, when my phone says it feels like 90+ outside, I don't want to go sweating all over my business nor my firearms...

Unless I’m getting paid to do it, I try not to shoot in temps over 85 or under 50!
