Antenna TV

I'm looking into cutting the cable TV service and go to antenna TV and the internet. The only thing I am concerned about losing is college football. The rest of the stuff we watch regularly is available over the air or on the web. I was looking at the football choices for the over the air channels and the better games don't appear to be available.

My question to those of you who are already in this mode is can I still find the top games on Saturday on the web.

I'm sure you can hit I haven't had any luck. But it's never a problem finding a buddy who is watching the game. And if I ever can't with the 150+ dollars a month I'm not spending on satellite I can afford to go to a sports bar for a few beers and food.

Get a user name and login of someone with satellite tv and you can watch remotely via computer.....if that's within the law.

ESPN carries most games over the internet. Hook up the TV with a HDMI cable to your computer (if it has one) and watch the game. Done it several times when games weren't broadcasting on cable.

I cut the cord 7 months ago and haven't looked back. I catch most games on network television with a OTA. Games that I can't get, I find streamed online (a lot of links on Twitter with streams), or I watch online via ESPN, or I go to a sports bar and watch.

I have aver a Mac Mini connected as my Home Theater computer. I run XBMC with a number if plugins (Naxi-x, Mashup, 1Channel, SportsDevil, etc.) and an Elgato EyeTV as my tuner and DVR. There are far less complicated set ups out there, depends on what you want to do.

you can use this for channel look up for your location. I saw one before with what type of antenna you needed.

I'm actually curious if there is an antenna package/option for my 50" Samsung 1080p flat screen. It would be badass looking so bizarre.

Most antennas have some pretty high quality reception. Pick one up and check it out. We cut the cord and and never looked back. With my Xbox, antenna and lap tops we don't miss anything we watched when we had cable but most importantly we don't mindlessly flip through channels *****ing that there is nothing on....which can lead to more time for ODT!

Any antenna will work, and there is no such thing as an HD antenna. Don't buy into that crap. Over the air HD is actually better than cable for picture quality.
Just get one that's powered and plug it into your tv. There is a great website that will help you to determine the direction it should be pointed if it is a directional antenna.
