If you are cutting cable and getting an OTA antenna you should also look into getting a ROKU box for even more channels or even an XBOX or Playstation. Gaming platforms are more of an entertainment center nowadays.

Good call on the gaming system. I use my ps3 for hulu,Netflix, crackle, and blue rays. Plus you can get on the Internet and play games.

I found that putting a line amp with built in splitter as close to the antenna helps with weaker signals and pushes them farther. I mounted my antenna high in my attic from the main beam - no exterior clutter.

I wound up picking up a 250g hard drive for the XBOX and have access to tons of HD media.

I have thought about this for years. But for some reason have not pulled the trigger as of yet. I need to get on this asap. But to be honest, it all sounds confusing to me.
