I am wanting to get into metal forging so I am looking for used equipment. Anvil, tongs, forge, hammers, files, sanders, etc. The older and more reasonably priced the better. Open to trades or will pay cash. I have some unique toys I would be willing to trade. Would also be grateful to be pointed to someone local in the Conyer's, McDonough, Covington area if someone is looking to pass on some knowledge.

chewokee I appreciate the offer but I actually have the bench vises covered down. Looking more for the specific equipment like a forge, anvil, and tongs. Things like that. Again, thanks for the post.

Both Grandfathers on both sides of the family were blacksmiths. My father had a Gristmill when my sisters and I were young but sold it when his health failed. Although I didn't get much of their tools I bought a few along through the years. Have always enjoyed metal work.

The hammer work always gives me a headache. The wife just goes shopping if it gets on her nerves.
