Any 5G experts Here??

I'm curious as to what the straight story is on 5G.....

Seems like Ajit Pai sold this as a "broadband everywhere" sort of thing.

But looks like physics says otherwise....

IDK much about this stuff, but looks bad from this assessment.

I'm no expert but I'd guess femto cells would be the easiest thing to roll out first. I don't see this as a total replacement for all other technologies. Even now, you probably use 3G for some services (some calls) and 4G for others (data where available) on the same phone. As soon as I start hearing about IoT, I get a headache, which is a lot of the 5G talk. Curious for a telecom guy to chime in.
