Pappy Van Winkel 18, Buffalo Trace, and by far and away my favorite...Corsair Triple Smoke.

It's a peated bourbon, yes you heard correctly...peated. It's absolutely the most fantastic bourbon I've ever tried. It's a little out of the ordinary with it's peaty notes..... a really special bourbon. Get a bottle, it's fairly inexpensive as well.

Finally, a Blantons man...Blantons single barrel for bourbon...

but if u want a great Canadian whiskey, try Forty Creek...its smoother than Crown and costs less, I go through a 1.75 a week

I've found it at Toco Giant in Toco Hills, and Greens on Clairmont on Decatur.

Favorite at the moment is Elijah Craig 18yr....have a bottle of 21 year but at the cost I still haven't opened it. I can also recommend the Blanton's single Barrel. Knob Creek Single Barrel is nice too.

I enjoy all of the above with whiskey stones and a few drops of water but the Knob Creek Single Barrel is nearly cask strength at 135 proof so I like it with a few cubes of ice.

Good luck finding any Pappy. They only release it once a year and they only allocate a small amount of bottles per store. They usually release it around late November. My store only got 5 bottles this past year and we sold out in 45 minutes. Most stores have a waiting list for it.
