This is true. After watching my In Laws, my Wife knew better. We moved into a big ranch. I have a full basement and she has a full finished one level with no stairs. There are stairs to the basement, but there is an electric chair also. I still travel the stairs, she would have trouble at best

Oh heck no. I’d look for another house. My next house will have only one level.
Just a block and tackle. And an electric winch.

Hey, just attach a motor to the spiral stairs. Let it spin you up/down.
I built my last house with an elevator. It had a purpose built shaft, 8x8 if I recall.
It went from Basement, 1st floor, 2nd floor, attic. Cost of elevator and install was $28k added to house cost. (2016)
You can add one to the outside of the house, I toured 2 homes the elevator company had added to the outside.

Bright side. With the spiral staircase it will be harder to fall all the way to the bottom at least.
I don't know about that........🤣
But probably a lot more painful.
If you are looking for a retirement home master and full bath on the main is the way to go that said I have replaced 3 sets of spiral staircases in tiny houses with access stairs or ships ladders much like what is leading up from the second floor if you are good with those you can usually do it
