Any Cigar guys around??

Nothing worse than a hangover with cigar breath. I guess I'm not a cigar guy.
Yeah that's why I'm not a cigar guy anymore. I enjoyed them just before they went trendy in the early 90s. Then the same brands that I had been paying $3.00 each for were over $6.00.
My problem was that I like the potent dark smokes like Punch Maduros and a few by Fuente that I can't recall now. Oh yeah, Ashton Cabinet Selection was a good one. Granted this was 97\98 and none of these could be available now. The other problem is that I can't smoke cigars without drinking Scotch or Irish Whiskey. So I would blow a bunch of money and wake up in a fog with a bad taste in my mouth that lasted all day.

Cuban cigars - Because of the poor economy in Cuba their cigars are rolled today and sold tomorrow. They are not aged, and as such are "green". The flavors of the filler, binder and wrapper have not had enough time to marry. If you were to get some Cubans you would be wise to age them in your humidor for at least nine months, perhaps a full year.

I don't smoke them anymore and my humidor is dried out. I think there's a crispy OpusX in there. That was my favorite, but I also liked the Monte Cristos and Flores.

I've recently been dabbling at the Cigar world.I've tried some really good sticks, but my favorite,so far is the JAVA by Drew Estate Maduro Robusto Maduro.I also like the Partagas 1845 Robusto Habano and the Arturo Fuentes Heminyway Short Story Cameroon Perfecto just to mention a few. What are you guys smoking at the moment,or wanting to try?Just looking for future ideas. Thanks!!

There may he another thread on this if so my apologies.
Padron 4000 maduro for a great smoke while golfing or competitive barbecuing, a Perdomo 12 year barrel aged w/natural wrapper for when you win at golf or competitive barbecuing.

Got really heavy into cigars in the last year or so, I am upwards of 400 in the few humidors I have right now. Everybody's taste is different but one of the best go to smokes that won't break the bank are Don pepin blue and Liga undercrowns. I have never been let down by anything aj Fernandez does and his San lotano line is my favorite but his diesels are excellent as well.

Man I don't know why I even clicked on this thread. I really don't need to start smoking again. I just looked in my humidor, there is some pretty good stuff in there, but it's a bit dried out. And it appears that one of my kids has gotten ahold of the key. My 3 year old loves keys and this one was shiny with a tassel.

Also have a cigar dossier. 200 pages by 12 per page front and back slap full.

I used to be a cigar guy. Well...I would have one every once in a while. Until a pulmonologist did a scan of my lungs to check out pneumonia that I had and found a nodule in my lungs. He told me it should be fine as long as I don't smoke. Umm yea, as much as I like cigars, I think I like my lungs and my life better lol.

The Opus X was damn good. And then Limbaugh bragged on how good they were and I couldn't afford them anymore.
