So pretty much just like the title says "Any interesting places worth checking out, in or around Atlanta with a toddler?".

looking for something other then the usual aquarium, zoo, etc....

Really with a toddler you don't have to go all out. I know you want to and I did. But just to hang out at a park, or by a creek, or walk down a hiking trail, play area at a mall, lots of stuff to do at a library (check their events board). There's the beach at Acworth or others at the lake. The hiking trail at 285/75 off of powers ferry has the river and cool trails there. Also all kinds of 'jump houses' like Catch Air and Monkey Joes are a lot of fun for them. Walk thru a pet store (and admire the cats and dogs for sale for $2500.)

It's a difficult world for Daddy's and kids. All of the playgroups are for Mommys. And the dynamics of a group of all women, vs. all women and one guy change a lot. I've searched and searched for Dad meetups and more stay at home Dad's resources. Hard to find.

But really....just get a box and some markers. Just spending time together is what matters.

Oh, and if the "HOT" sign is on, take 'em to the Krispy Kreme on Ponce and watch 'em make doughnuts.

And of course, eat doughnuts afterwards!

Dangit, now I'm hungry for KK!
