Any of you raise Emu's?

Just wondering if any of you do raise these mean things?
I have a story about one. I came home one day about 25 yrs ago and found this crazy looking thing in my yard! I'd seen them up the road from my home in a man's pasture and figured this one had to be his. Me thinking it's just a big bird what can it do to me if I try to catch it? I get a rope and lasso this dang thing and he didn't even act too upset, but when I walked up to him this dang thing started kicking me like you would not believe! When it was over he was running down the road after I finally got the rope off of him, and I was left on the ground with bruises all over my legs and hip! That bird took about 30 seconds to beat the total **** out of me! Needless to say I've never messed with one again! I just wonder why anyone would raise such a mean dang bird like an Emu?
Look at this thing! He look's like he'd jump you in a second if need be!

I think the pyramid scheme associated with the $300.00+ eggs had peaked when those folks went into "business".
