I'm not talking full on dancing girls laying on the hood or explosions... ok maybe one explosion. I mean just those cheesy local commercials that come on between the national commercials. The ones where they just pan the building and have a voice over.

I've gotten in touch with Cumulus but would like to talk to any other small-bidness owner that's done it. Ins and outs. Worth it? Stuff to watch for. Etc...

Thank ya!

Too many variables to give the "correct" answer. What are you advertising? How long have you been doing it? How competitive is it? These are only 3 of the many questions that determine the answer to what you are asking. Not all businesses are the same and in advertising, one business can do well and another can miss the mark.

YOu need to know those to tell me if you've done it and if it was helpfull to you? JUst kidding.

No I don't expect anyone to know my buisness or customers or demographic. Just more of a top level yea or neigh that it was a good experience with the overall process. Because I'm completely new to that form of media. I could ask more questions later but for now just trying to feel people out.

Thank you for taking the time to reply!

50% of advertising works, the trick is to figure out which 50%

Wheres the "LIKE" button. Hahahaha

You seriously need to let us know what type of biz you have.... in order to get an answer.

For my biz, there is no way I would go that route. I like to think of radio/billboard as brand building type advertisement. For small businesses in general they are not trying to build their brand until many years later if ever.

Now if you can be the 'answer guy' on some of those morning help shows that would be a different story. You would now be a resident expert and building respect from the listeners, which would lead to the phone ringing.

Just some random thoughts on it.

I have been in advertising sales for the last 19 years, mostly billboards. I have placed TV advertising and some radio, cinema but no newspaper. I agree with the questions above, what are you advertising? Where are you located? Who are your competitors? What is your budget?

OK, so I have your commercial. It starts off real sad, with the piano music they.play for.the starving dogs/foreign kids. The camera pans in on a kid, he's scared, crying his eyes out, he's lost, and.his only source.of.comfort is an ice cream. You walk up to the boy, a look of empathy on your face, you sit down by the boy, you comfort him, then take his ice cream, and smash it. Then, you look at the camera, and say if you want little jonnys parents to live, use my business. Then cut scene, its two little girls in pretty dresses, pigtails, laughing and playing at the park. and the reason they are so happy is because their parents were saved because of your business. They thank you, you smile back and say your welcome. Then, you throw on a pair of high end sunglasses as "sharp dressed man" begins playing. You sit down in your exotic sportscar, and kiss your trophy wife, then say "ayooga" as you Rev up your Ferrari, dumping the clutch slinging rocks at all the kids.. Screen goes black with your logo as you hear "every girls crazy bout a sharp dressed man"

Sorry, I stayed at a holiday inn last night.
