I've looked around and not had much luck with finding a good hunt club. I want to start getting the kids involved more so which is my main drive for the moment. I'd prefer a club that has more youth events if at all possible but as this would be more for the kids and maybe me if I get a chance haha.

Does anyone have a good website or know of clubs which are north of Gwinnett or near Athens which are open? I'm trying to stay within a 2 hour drive or so from Gwinnett if its at all possible.

Just looking for some ideas or maybe someone in this forum has openings etc...

A. No.
B. Most hunt clubs worth bothering with tend to be populated by people who think they are serious trophy hunters. They're not much on kids shooting kid appropriate sized deer.

I wouldn't overlook public lands and small game. It's more fun.

GA DNR offers a number of youth hunting opportunities. Turkey and deer I recall are two. Usually 1 or 2 nights lodging, meals, guided hunt on WMA. Not free, but cost is likely less than a club. Check into it.

I've applied for those spots, even for rabbit hunts down south and never got picked... I signed up last year the 2nd day they opened their registrations. It's just my luck haha

Not quota hunts. The youth hunt and learn. Have you applied for those with your kid(s)?

B. I'm that member. After kids get their first deer no more fork horns and yearlings

TheDew TheDew also in addition to the opportunities GA DNR provide on WMAs throughout Georgia for various species hunting (I believe deer, rabbit and turkey I have seen them offer for kid plus adult) (also these are not quote hunts but specifically hunt and learn), 3030 Ministries offers awesome opportunities for hunting (and fishing) for kids. Check them out for info and dates.
