Any open hunt clubs?

Not quota hunts. The youth hunt and learn. Have you applied for those with your kid(s)?

Like this one:

Yes, on that page for the rabbit hunt. It was a 2 day event, 1 day about its habitat etc and the 2nd day was the hunt. I think it was like $350 but we never got selected as there were only 12 spots available or so... I cant recall atm.

LOL is that so? I pay thousands of dollars a year between lease, feed, fuel etc. Why should my chances of seeing a mature deer be drastically lowered because you let kids shoot everything that walks?

Wow. Seems pretty pricey for venison. I always wondered about the clubs - how it might break down per deer. Like, how much each deer costs.

If you hunt WMA then you're only paying for tags($60+/-?) and archery setup or gun/scope combo, which can be a couple grand itself.

I'm a simple, poor hunter. Ruger Redhawk .41magnum iron sights. Nowhere close to even 1K. Thank goodness. KISS. Keeping it simple. But I have seen some archery equipment listed on here for a few K. I can't imagine.. imagine dropping it in the river or falling on it and busting it. Too rich for my blood.

It's like with anything else, cheap **** isn't cool and cool **** isn't cheap.
