Any other guys get fat when their wife got preggo?

Nope, not alone. Happens to a lot of guys. You'll get back to normal in about 10 years. A lack of sleep (you'll get very little most likely once the baby is born) will make you fatter and believe it or not caring for a small child really doesn't burn that many calories. Good luck. :)

Start Walking - Do a mile a day. No joke. At least that's something. If you don't take care of yourself you cant take care of them.

There's soooo much truth to that and guys are notorious for not going to the doctors.
I left the Marines in 82 and never saw a doctor, because I wasn't sick.
This seemed reasonable to me all that time.
(Well maybe stitches in the ER a time or two).

In 09 I had a heart attack in my sleep and almost died.
I had high blood pressure like all the members of my Mom's family for many years and didn't know it.
Now I go regularly, lesson learned - the hard way.

We guys are like martyrs of something, we're always taking care of others, but not ourselves.
So I'll repeat 10thmountain's statement.
If you don't take care of yourself you cant take care of them!!!

Yeah my down fall this summer is being really busy getting things ready.
Every summer I run after work 3-5 miles and I have not been able to do that this year.

I gained around 15 pounds but it never came off until my wife made me start running with her. She dropped 20 pounds in the hospital and I didn't! biker_bill biker_bill , I am with you on the doctor visits. I just got a family doctor after living here for 20 years. You only have one body, take care of it (as I eat a pop tart while typing this).

Wow running 3 to 5 miles, that's a lot of calories not being burned up!
That's like an entire nice dinner.
You would have to cut way back on the intake to make up for that.
Then you would feel hungry and I hate being hungry.

I opted for eating "better" and walking 3 miles every other day - and 25 pounds came up missing without me being hungry....

You're in good shape, in that you know you need to do something .....

(And congratulations! I have a grandson due in 5 weeks as well, not my first, but I'm really excited, lol.)
