Any roofers on the trader??

I sincerely apologize for that, if it was the company I was with at the time. I wasn't on the "sales" side, but the owner of the company telling me why we weren't doing your roof was the first time I saw how big a POS he was as a person and a business owner. That was right before I ended up leaving that company.

The owner of that company ended up getting arrested at least two different times last year for fraud. Not sure what the outcome of his arrests were, but I know for a fact that he still owes money to former employees and some other people, including the maids that were cleaning both his house and his office.
What company? Wonder if it's one of the sorry roofers that owe us (abc supply) money

I know roofers have been extremely busy recently. It took me forever to speak with anyone, but I eventually found someone who would do some repairs. House sitters said they stopped over but didn't do anything. Eventually, I got ahold of their office. "Oh, no, they finished your repairs." No, they didn't at all. "Oh, they should have done it already." They didn't.

I just wonder why supervisors or GCs who can't make it to a project don't ask their guys to send photos or something. Now, I'm waiting on some repairs the company thought were completed a few weeks ago.

Veteran's Roofing, at least that's the last name I'm aware of, and the one he was still operating under when he got arrested last year, I subsequently found out he'd previously been operating under a different business name and had a ton of complaints which is probably why he "started" a new company under a different name. Complete POS that I regret ever working for.

Not a case of failure to communicate ! Straight up case of a company brokering / subbing it out to another person . Paying them cheap and pocketing the rest. Ran in to that with my chimney cap !

Roofers are like tree removal companies, most suck ass and may not be in business next year. I recently had my roof replaced, got estimates from several companies. Follow through and returned calls are too much to ask for. One company had 3 different prices depending on which warranty I purchased. The lowest price of the 3 was 4k more than the highest estimate from 4 other companies, and the jackass was pushing real hard for me to finance. I did find a good roofer through a friend that did a great job.

And what makes you say this? Lol tree removal and roofers may only stop doing business because of cheap assholes that want a cheap price with great quality of work and can’t stay in business.(life threatening work at that) most want a 100 ft tree up against a house cut down for $500. 😂 get real.

Lol. Yeh, sucks to not have any recommendations. But how much did you pay to have a guy in a huge expensive truck that's never pulled a load give you an outlandish price?

Yeh, that's why no one recommended a roofer.

Honestly I came out ok. A friend of a friend did the work and I didn't pay a dime out of pocket and got Architectural 30 year shingles put on.

This. Id be fine with the roofer meeting at the same time as the adjuster. State farm doesnt like to pay out.
I have statefarm and my roof contractor had to meet with the adjusters 3 times and had to threaten to take them to court. Their definition of damage is very clear in writing, and we had that same damage on my roof and statefarm didn't want to cover it. They finally did. Was about a 4 month ordeal.

I have USAA. HERO roofing came out and inspected my roof. I called USAA, they came out and inspected my roof and approved me for a new premium roof, chimney cap, gutters, rain guard, new front porch, wood shutters and the house painted. They cut us a check and told us to hire who we wanted. We spent every penny of the money on the exterior of the house. HERO roofing did an excellent job
