Any vets on here? Dog ate whole ear of corn

Hey folks,

My dog ate a whole uncooked ear of corn about 30 minutes ago. He’s a 65lb mutt and hasn’t ever had issues with anything he’s eaten before. Everything I’ve read on the web says it can be bad news though. Any vets or somebody with similar experience?

I shucked about 10 dozen ears last week and my dog will eat anything but never had this happen. I hope your dog is ok. I’d call the vet if worried about it.

I had a lab once that ate a whole bone in pork chop without even chewing it. She moped around a few days but they have very potent stomach acid and it all dissolved before passing it.

My dog growing up ate raw ears of corn all the time, never was a problem.

Got a big Golden Retriever, chomped down on an ear of corn. Little rough for him coming out the southern hemisphere, but no real harm.
