Anybody catch this article on MSNBC? "Anyone can buy guns, no questions asked."

"As for the eight guns we bought, we turned them over the the Phoenix police department...where they will be destroyed."

Makes me think about if the Phoenix police department would actually have destroyed them. Anybody with any decent output of brainpower would be able to recognize the usefulness of these "horrific" weapons that they bought to make their point, let alone a police department. I highly doubt (at least I'm hoping with the utmost serenity) that these police officers had the respect for these guns that anybody should give them, and did not destroy them. What a waste, if they were.

Anybody got the parts I need to convert my SKS to shoot AK47 bullets?
Oh it already does??
WOW arent those more powerful or deadly than regular hunting bullets?
No???
But they have the word AK47 associated with them, They've got to be more powerful, deadly and accurate right??
No??
What do you mean that most hunting cartridges are more deadly and powerful?
Are you sure?

Well we cant let the facts get in the way of a SENSATIONAL story

I don't know why someone hasn't thought of making it illegal for people to use guns in crimes. It seems like that would solve the problem right?

I do believe sellers have the responsibility to use their best judgment, and not transfer a firearm to a person not legal to own a gun, but banning private sales will create a black market that will rival that of illegal drug trade.....actually creating more violence.

Crap story, crap reporting, and an overwhelming (hardly) sample size - 8- out of millions of gun owners.

BTW violent crime has been decreasing steadily after the Clinton "assault weapns ban" was allowed to sunset.
