Well obviously there's a lot of specifics that keep people where they are employed, but as the saying goes "it's always easier to find a job when you have one". No way in hell I could put up with what you described indefinitely.Work used to not ever be like this. They say things get worse before it gets better and everytime I think we hit rock bottom, they manage to take it to a new low

I've been field tech service most of my life, now in my upper 40's. Slowly our sales guys are retiring off and i'm having to deal with this next generation. Their work ethic is **** and have zero will to learn to be technical in any way. I have another 14-15 years till retirement.......just hoping i can make it.That's how I've been feeling everyday when I get home from work!
I agree with you 100%. Very few are considerate of others anymore and it’s sad.I'm afraid we've lost what it means to be a polite society. Maybe we never really had it. I wish for you that your days at work go by fast and your retirement comes soon. There comes a point in life when men can no longer deal with the BS of other people.
Again, GOD Bless and watch over you.
I get that 100%. Wanna move up but sometimes seems pointless. I get it.I do go back and forth between being a go getter and having a "shut up and color" attitude...I hate just coming to work and making my 8 and going home but for my mental health I might have to do just that for a while
Yep. Every career field seems to have this in common. I turned 51 this year, hoping to go when I turn 62. Earlier if I can help it. There are "some" younger than us that are still good people...just think, they have 25 years and such left to go.yeah, just saw the .gov job.

What I've realized is that moving up (for me) is still dealing with BS. It's just different BS. A training position is the easiest way for me to move up but basically it wouldn't be a pay raise for 3 years. In fact it would be a pay cut bc I would lose my overtime. Decisions, decisions...I get that 100%. Wanna move up but sometimes seems pointless. I get it.
***OP where the **** do you work? The looney house?
