Anybody else dread going to work on Monday?

I had a job I enjoyed and was very good at. Outlasted a lot of crappy supervisors (and a few really good ones).
Always happy for my mom's advice "know your job, and do it well, you'll never have to kiss anyone's ass". There is great truth in that saying.

Very true and I’ve always refused to kiss ass but in all fairness, I’ve seen it work many a time and said ass kissers are all now in C suite roles. All depends on what the objective is I suppose.

Always did. To the point of being more efficient and producing more than anyone else just to keep them off my back and keep my job. But the BS always piled up. Seems I never could escape it. It's all good now. I do my thing and they can do theirs

I received an order today....first on in a couple weeks....guess I now have something to do for a couple days...
Order of what??

First job outta the military was at a finance company stealing (repossessing) cars, dump trucks and 18-wheelers…. after a couple years of that, managing installment loan collections for a bank…. working up to a lending position….. later, buying indirect retail finance for more than a dozen car dealers…. that was too much stress, so I took a job in finance for one of the dealers I bought contracts from…. still too much stress…. I hated the job, hated feeling like somebody was always watching me or looking over my shoulder…. plus the BS and politics of those around me always "jockeying for position"…. after about ten years of that nonsense, finally made a drastic career change…. started teaching at a flight school and worked into flying charters…. moved to Atlanta in '86 and got hired by a Fortune 50 flight department…. stayed there 25 years and loved it…. still had to show up on time, but it was a job I loved doing and once we left Atlanta, I was on my own…. waiting for the passengers to do their thing, I could take a nap, talk on the phone, go for a jog or get some crayons and color if I felt like it…. nobody looking over your shoulder…. and I never cared about having to be at the hangar for a trip at 05:00 in the morning…. never had to "punch a time clock" with this job but usually show up early because I love what I do….

There's a lot of truth to the statement that if you find a job you love, you never have to work a day in your life….

This?….. this here is my favorite meme!
