Anybody else notice this about their Glock 42 mags?

"Mrs BangBang" wanted some pink color-fill done on the slide and mags of her new G42 today.

While doing the mags, I noticed that one has ".380" on it, and the other doesn't. These are the 2 mags that came with the gun when we bought it brand new last week. They both have the same part number stamped on them under the Glock logo.

Anybody else ever notice this?

How do you do the color fill?

Pink crayon.

Rub the crayon on the engraving, then light a lighter and touch the flame to the colored engraving FOR JUST A SECOND to melt the crayon into it.

Let it cool for a minute or two, and then wipe of the excess with a paper towel.

hmm.. I always did it with nail polish.. How does the crayon hold up? I do notice the nail polish on the slide needs to be touched up a bit after going in and out of the holster a bunch

The crayon holds up pretty well on the mags. It's actually pretty resistant to cleaners.

It wears off the slide fairly quick, but is easy enough to touch-up.

I like the fact that it's temporary, because I can't imagine that a permanent pink color-fill would help the resale value.
