Anybody ever had luck killing yellow jackets

Anaphylactic shock. I had them almost kill me. I don’t mess wit dem no mo. Have to carry around a dang injection now. that was 4 years ago. Had never had a reaction to a sting in 47 years.
I took a shortcut through the woods when I was about 12. Walked up on a nest. Sent me to the ER and they counted over 50 stings.
2 stung me on Monday. 1 below my armpit on my side and one on the finger. Finger swelled up like hell and couldn’t curl it but finally about back to normal. Ran over nest while mowing and they let me know they were there.
The oddest thing with my two nests... I can literally run my mower deck a foot away from the hole in the ground and they dont give a rip. Ive watched the hole for activity every time I cut and I just kept getting closer and closer. Nothing. Same thing when Im weed eating. Right over the hole. Nothing. I always tell them “Ok Im weed eating now!” just so they know Im there and not to fly out. :)

Somewhere around 20-30

They still have plenty to eat. All changes as first frost nears.

I’ve always used a mason jar or solo cup full of gas. At night, turn up the glass on their hole & walk off. Just the fumes are deadly enough. Never have had 1 survive.
