I’ve gone to a couple of the auctions there and have been pretty disappointed. The 13% buyers premium and then 7% sales tax beyond kills any deals.

The internet has ruined auctions for anyone but the auctioneer and seller.

I used to go to estate auctions; and knew several families that ran auctions growing up. The best ones are not well organized or advertised much. The more people that know about it and the more time the auction house has time to prepare; the likely hood of good deals drops. The deals happen at the ones that pop up fast when they have no time to sort and prep the order and groupings. It's a science, the good ones can bring more than retail for garbage.

Went to this one a couple of years ago and it was a total waste of time. Guns were going for new list prices plus the buyers fees. Its even more expensive than ODT adds.

Just ran through a few listings and didn’t see any real deals. Glad I didn’t go.

Nope, went once, prices too high. I also noticed, a few years ago at least, that when the info came on line all items already had a bid or bids. Made me suspicious that it was some sort of built in shill bidding as every item had a bid right after it went on line. Not just firearms but other stuff as well.

I noticed that too and that’s extremely rare for an auction to have a bid on every item.
