I would check with breeders around you. There are always breeders looking to find good homes for dogs they are retiring from breeding. You get a quality pure bred dog that is healthy and 3 to 5 yrs old. Spay or neuter is part of the deal. Usually you can adopt or buy at next to nothing. I knew one breeder that gave away a bully they retired because he knew it went to a good forever home.
