I have a chance to buy a Yugo dustcover with a AR15 rear sight mounted on it. I was wondering how much work is involved in modifying it to fit on my Saiga .223? Thanks

Anybody modify a YUGO AK Dust cover to fit on a stamped eceiver?

I thought most of them could be swapped. All the receivers are the same width except for the yugo receivers which are .040 wider than a normal receiver. The only way to be sure is to hold your saiga dust cover up to it, unless your buying it online.
Alright I just took the top cover off of my yugo RPK and tried to put it on my Saiga 12 and its about 3/4 inch too short to work. I also tried to put it on my Romanian AK and its about 1/2 inch too short, its also a half inch too short to fit my Polish Tantal. So, no I don't think the yugo top cover is going to work on your Saiga.
