After reading your story I think I'm going back to Costco and buying one. Much cheaper than getting a ticket when I'm not at fault but can't prove it otherwise.

I have a mini 0805 very compact and disappears on the front windshield behind the rear view mirror...the link is just for reference but it could be had at around 50-60 bucks... so far since March it's held up even in the hot hot summer we had this year

COSTCO HAS THEM.
I was in there Sunday and they sell them. I forgot the price.

I've taken 2 EVOC courses. The best thing I learned was to steer away. Most people slam on the brakes and hold straight. I've had many close calls where my training took over and I steered away and was fine. Saved my butt, and maybe my life more than once. Great courses.

That is exactly what I did. If I had held straight I'd have been eating air bag!

I bought the cheapest one on DX.com to try it out. I loved having the security of it, so I got one of these:

I would look for one with 2 cameras. one looking out the front, and one looking out the rear.
