Anyone adopted a baby?

wish it was that easy. My wife has a medical condition that doesn’t allow her to get pregnant.

That sux. I sure hope the Lord blesses you two, one way or another.
Even if you cannot get an infant or newbie....a child a few years older may be a blessing in disguise. I would think as age went up that they would be easier to adopt/ more available (?).

My older brother and his wife tried every thing to have children. INV, fertility shots and anything else suggested to them. They gave up after 25 years. Long story short they started in Florida's fostering program, within a year they had adopted 5 siblings, ages 9 months to seven years old. Five years later they are still ecstatic. Moral of the story...don't give up, my brother turns 60 in a couple of months.

We adopted two from Russia in 2004 at 2.5 years old, also a newborn son in 2004 after a vasectomy reversal.

They all grew up together and all in HS now. I have no idea what the final bill came to, with two trips to Russia

And the last one was about a three week stay in Moscow, probably over 60K. The vasectomy reversal was over 6K

And of coarse insurance doesn’t cover that. We went a little crazy when we lost our son in an accident, but wouldn’t

Change a thing. Who knows God’s plan , keep faith if it’s meant to be it will be.

It’s all crazy expensive. I adopted twins about 14 years ago and it was crazy expensive even then. It was well worth it but it’s like they all say. Raising them is ridiculously more expensive.
