Had a necrotising spider bite, a long time ago, in a land far away. Was way out in the country, went to the district hospital. Met by two nurses in the waiting room, old Matron an a young English nurse of all things. Old Matron went to get paperwork an the young pommy lady was chatting nicely, "so where you from, what are doing in the area..", as soon as the older lady was out of the room, her voice went horror movie hiss " get out of here, just get up an go..theres a staph infection going through this place, that gets in your bite an you'll lose your hand". Left pretty damn quick, girlfriend couldn't drive stick, I'm driving for 8 hours, fevered up, one handed and forever grateful to the nice Pommy chick. I hope the medicine knocks it on the head for you an it dosen't swell an crater.
