Anyone bought a new Suburban layely?

Nope. Just a great way to get the next sale.

"Tires for life" means they expect to change out the tires once or twice at most before they can upsell you into a new vehicle.

Tires last 40K or so; by the 2nd set of "free" tires most suckers, uh, I mean customers, are ready for a new car. And they're coming to the dealership and walking around the lot while waiting on their tires to be changed out.

In the meantime: "Wow, look at the beautiful car/truck! I can give you such a great deal on a trade in, you wouldn't believe it! Don't you want to trade it in?"

Just like free oil changes for life, which is a great way to get your car up on the rack so the Service Department can find all sorts of things wrong with it - either getting a big payday for them or convincing you to trade it for a new one.
Yep…I got you now. Just wasn’t thinking of it in those terms.
IDK why I wasn’t….I have been in the automotive repair biz my whole life just about. Lol

I've worked in the automotive industry for over a decade. Anything built after the mid 2000s is basically a gasoline powered iPhone and is just plastic computerized garbage. If you want a dependable vehicle with a great ride for about $5-10k get a 2000-2006 Suburban/Tahoe with the 5.3 vortec motor. Built like a tank and you will easily see well over 300k with a little bit of preventative maintenance.

I throw up a little when i see them on the road, especially from behind. Proportions are all wrong and you can see the rear control arms and suspension components underneath. Almost like the entire rear was an afterthought. Swing and a miss imo.

But, as others have stated, msrp is probably the best you’ll get without ordering out of state and driving or transporting.

I’ve ordered 2 recent F350’s and was able to get invoice pricing but have to drive 8 hours to west TN to pick them up. Did it with a 22 and am waiting on a 23 to be built. Same dealer and same deal.

GA dealers are the worst. Best to shop out of state.

That’s the only advise i have.

I don’t know when you folks will learn. ? GM builds this high dollar crap that fails about the time the warranty is up. Great engineering and fund raising I guess.
GM broke me back in 96’ with their transmissions. As far as I’m concerned they will not build anything to last. I don’t give a flying “F” how “nice” they ride, ain’t getting me back in that trap.
If it’s newer than about 1987 you can keep it

Toyota Land Crusiers are the better buy, the old ones.

The new ones are on the Sequoia platform & aren’t any better than the Domestic offerings.

Wrong. Toyota doesn’t import the Land Cruiser to the states anymore, and it never was built on the Sequoia Platform. The Land Cruiser has always been built in Japan and imported.
