Check into diatomaceous earth for insect control. It's all natural and completely harmless to mammals and birds. My neighbor feeds it to his chickens and uses it in their nesting area to control pests.
I have dogs and cats in the house so I don't like spraying a lot of chemicals. I've started using DE around the house and I've noticed a sharp decrease in the number of carpenter ants and other bugs.

It starts with a perimeter outside. If you have a good barrier defense then you don’t need to spray inside every time. Just get it under control and then only spray outside. When I rented a house for some years, I did this, never had a problem.
TalstarP is one of the best general/perimeter use insecticides and it covers a broad range of pests. Some pests/situations arent it's strong points, however. You may have to go to something else if you are having difficulty with something in particular.
I am not a fan of spraying an entire yard with insecticide unless there is a specific problem. Issues with fleas may be one of them. Permethrin is a good one for this, but is a no go if you or your neighbor has cats. I would not spray/spread Sevin everywhere, even with a target pest in mind. It's very close to being banned (at least it's been talked about for years due to over and misuse). It has short residual activity, harmful to earthworms, and generally not as effective as other insecticides in most scenarios.
Make sure you read and follow labels on whatever you use. They aren't just suggestions.

Yep this is the best place to get your insecticide, free shipping i purchase my insecticide from here along with my neighbors, and family members. I purchase Bifen I/T kills all my bugs, I use 1 Oz gallon of water.
