Ok, how many wore eye protection, and how many lost an eye.

My eyes didn't seem nearly as important then as they do now. I don't hardly do anything without eye protection.

Who didn't?? My brother and I used shoot at each other all the time. We weren't allowed in the house until dinner. What else you supposed to do other than shoot at each other and chase chickens around?

The last one we had, I got shot in the cheek about an inch below my right eye. I couldn't get it out and told my mom it was a zit. About six months later I told my dad it was still in my cheek. He didn't care but my mom completely freaked out! She loaded me in the car and took me to a surgeon and had it dug out. To prevent scarring, they went in through my mouth and dug it out. Hurt ten times worse than being shot.

We had "BB Gun Wars" when I was a kid. In addition to BB guns, we would put M80's inside grapefruit and use them as grenades.
