Anyone familiar with these Baofeng Chinee radios?

In for “ham crap” for sale. What do you have?

Also, to address OP’s question - these radios have a bad reputation but work well for me. Most people (Hams and non-Hams) don’t take the time to learn how to program them. I have several and they work great with local repeaters on the VHF Ham bands. They are not really legal for the GMRS & FRS bands, but they are widely used for that. A kid (or anyone) could get in trouble transmitting on bands where they hold no license. But they are great for listening. A future consideration for better performance would be a better antenna. Also there are several versions with different capabilities, so some research may be needed prior to purchase, but it’s only $20.😉

On sale right now at TruPrep.
