But to answer your question since I didn't do so in the first post a can of flammable carburetor cleaner and a lighter. Start burst of flammable liquid and add flame. That'll kill a spider everytime no question!

Anyone know of anything that will actually kill spiders?

I actually found a flock 🤣 of black widows in the root cellar when I first moved up here. I bought a big thing of crawling insecticide and it wiped them all out. I respray every spring and I haven't seen one since. This is a old house and it cut down in all the insects around the house and in the cellar. I got it from Lowe's. I also spray around the exterior perimeter. Controls them for 12 months.
I saw an ad not long ago that had one powered by CO2....
I’ve always had good luck with Demon WP. Spray my basement twice a year and outside the house around doors. Good for ants, roaches, etc.
