Anyone seen a spider like this before?

I think it is funny how the biggest, meanest, manly-man will shriek like a little girl when they run into a spider web or a spider  …..
I have done it too though !! :pound:

I believe that's the Asian Joro spider that's now an invasive critter in Georgia.

the East Asian ones I have seen in my yard have a more elongated torso (male) the female East Asian Joro are quite a bit fatter...
They do not bite however I believe they are invasive...
The wife freaks out at spiders or any insect, but the Joro has a special place in making her do the "flailing, spasmotic, air swimming" dance....

If they start taking hummingbirds, then the spider extermination game begins. Remember that similar spider in Australia that ate a large bird in its web?

Wondered what kind it is. They're huge things, several inches across. And they make really big, strong, and irregular webs that spread out all over the place between bushes & the house just out in the open.

That’s easy, that’s one of those burn it with fire spiders, a close relative to any other spider I see.
