AR-15 front take down pin install made easy VIDEO

I uploaded this for you guy to see my technique for installing the front take down pin.

Tools you need:
Vise
Vise block
straight screw driver
and 1/4 long punch

Secure the lower in the vise block.
Install the punch into the pin hole opposite side of spring.
Bring the punch flush to the spring hole.
Install the spring.
Cup the small pin with your thumb and index finger.
Put it in place and push it into the receiver with a straight screw driver and hold.
Reach across with your hand and push the punch through, at the same time you remove the screw driver.
Line up the take down pin with the punch, verify the channel is aligned.
Use positive pressure on the punch and pin till its in place.

Here is a video I made using a pivot pin tool. You can use a 1/4 clevis pin also, I dought one at Home Depot for $1.30.

An old armorers trick for sure, but a knife blade works best because you have better "feel" than with the screwdriver. Just sayin...carry on.
