Ar 15 Lower

Yes. They are polymer/plastic, but I believe that they have metal connections for the threaded parts that connect to the lower (like the buffer tube).

OmarB1300 OmarB1300 - I'm familiar of New Frontier's polymer lowers, and I feel like the TN Arms and ATI polymer lowers are better because they have metal for the threaded connections.

I watched this video prior to trying the New Frontier, and I felt more confident about it: LW-15 Polymer AR-15 receiver -- Torture Test #3 -- General Strength - YouTube

I am reluctant to use polymer on a short barrel pistol build, but I may be overly cautious about it too.

Check out the video, and see what types of stress tests ATI has performed. You may be OK for a standard build, and it may be a better option for a lightweight build too.

Good luck!
