What is wrong with the Omni lower?
Plastic I believe. Although they work fine for most peoples purposes.
I personally don’t like it and I had a few people who told me I should swap the lower as well. I just want to upgrade the lower part of my ar with a different lower and a better trigger

- I'm familiar of New Frontier's polymer lowers, and I feel like the TN Arms and ATI polymer lowers are better because they have metal for the threaded connections. I watched this video prior to trying the New Frontier, and I felt more confident about it: LW-15 Polymer AR-15 receiver -- Torture Test #3 -- General Strength - YouTube
I am reluctant to use polymer on a short barrel pistol build, but I may be overly cautious about it too.
Check out the video, and see what types of stress tests ATI has performed. You may be OK for a standard build, and it may be a better option for a lightweight build too.
