AR-15 Mags

I know this subject has been visited from time-to-time, but I thought I would see what the current thoughts are on the subject.

What are the best AR-15 mags presently available for purchase?

Are there any types/manufacturers that have a reputation for not being reliable?

Best? That would be Lancers.

No cracking if left loaded like the all plastic mags.

Best is a subjective term. I prefer Aluminum or Stainless GI type mags. They are lighter and less bulky than any of the plastic mags. Been working fine for over 60 years.

For my 6.8 I like Barrett mags. They are a little heavy but worth the money.

P mags , hk 416 mags , gi mags and lancer mags are the only ones I use and never had any issues other than the crap floor plates on the hk mags

I have some pmags but quality GI mags work just fine and are 2/3 the cost. GI mags drop free every time with all my lowers. Can't say the same for pmags.

Another vote for the Lancers here....Their 20 round mags are the sheeeiiittteee!!!Plus it doesnt hurt that they look good too.
