Hey everyone,

I have an AR-15 with a Super Safety (aka Fun Time) Trigger. The current upper I have on it is a Samson. From what the gunsmith at my LGS told me, it's not exactly "possible" to put a handguard/foregrip on the end of it due to what the gas block system (?) on it and I'm looking for recommendations on AR-15 upper, preferably as short as possible without being an SBR. Bonus points if I can mount a laser on the side (like this one).

Thanks, all!

Flexible. I can be patient if it’s more expensive.

Cheap:

Will need a BCG/ Charging handle ( $100 ish)

What I would get:

Or look for something from Geissele.

BCM from Brownell's might be a good in-between price point upper.

Definitely don’t want to cheap out on it, so appreciate both options.

The DD looks incredible. Wow. Does it come with the barrel as well? Do you know if it’s suppressor ready?

The DD is the shortest barrel you can get at 14.5 P/W w/o being an SBR ( Under 16 inches) so, I wouldn't buy it for suppressor usage as it would take more work to add the proper muzzle device for the suppressor.

Also, it would depend on the suppressor mounting style to what you would need, like direct thread or tri lug or many other options depending on the suppressor.

Darn. Was hoping I could get it as something suppressor ready, but...suppression with a SS trigger isn't necessarily the wisest thing to do either, though.

It would be direct thread if I went that route.

If your suppressor is direct thread, then just order an upper w/o a muzzle device.

If the can is rated for FA, then a SS trigger system shouldn't be an issue.

Got a pic of your current setup?

A handguard and a foregrip are two totally different things, and I’m not understanding what the issue is.
